Cho memorialized

I really don't think it is so much that as it is our screwed up legal system. People can sue for every little thing nowdays. IMO people should have to prove the merit of a case before it is even approved for legal action. If the person has a legit reason then fine. But, "Johnny didn't make the football team because he wasn't good enough and got cut" isn't one of those reasons. Our laws should be interpreted with good common sense...and sometimes that may not be to the letter. Our nation is becoming a nation of whiners..and it's sad.

That "messed up kid" ended the lives of 33 decent human beings. It bothers me that he is getting any pub at all. All that does is open the door for wannabe's. I do feel sorrow for his family. I can only imagine what kind of pain that they are dealing with (much like the victim's families). He wasn't a Hokie. He made it VERY clear in his rant that all those "snobs,brats"..etc were his enemies.

Our biggest problem isn't that Cho is being memorialized with a rock. Our biggest problem is that Cho is being memorialized by every news station everytime they play his videos or show his pictures, our problem is that he is being memorialized by all of these police departments and schools when they throw kids into the car for being to emotional in their writings, he is being memorialized by every copy cat wanna be making threats and most of all he is being memorialized by us as a nation as we continue to let these type of people run our lives.

Again, trace it back to the 60s and 70s. Many of those sitting on the bench grew up then.

The hippies have grown up and are in power. And they haven't forgotten the senseless tripe they spouted over 30 years ago.

Yeah, that is true...but it is also true that most judges on the bench nowdays tend to be conservative. That is on the opposite spectrum from a hippie.

Those on the bench who would legislate from the bench (or be swayed by public opinion) are anything but 'conservative'.

The courts are a mixed bag.

I know the courts are a mixed bag...that's why I can't really go along with saying that hippies are responsible for the way things are. I can agree that the same philosophy they believed in has degraded the country to a point...but it is IMO the extreme adherance to "equlity" laws that causes the most problem..that and alot of folks don't bust their kids a$$es anymore...

who is infantizing?? i didnt say dude was a good kid...he was stupid, he couldn't handle his own thoughts and control his actions...but damn, a life is a life no matter what sins you've committed, and for as many of you that call yourself Christians to turn away from ANYONE who lost a life is pure hypocrisy

for goodness sakes the guy killed 32 of my classmates and 3 of my friends, and i'm STILL the only rational one??

And those things can be traced to schools of thought that came about in the 60s.
